Yes, the 2K Family Fun Run takes place on an accessible route on packed gravel paths. Families will also find fully accessible activities in the Family Fun Zone.

We accept both cash and personal cheques made out to “CHEO’s RBC Race for the Kids Ottawa – In Trust.” You can also register by calling (613) 295-7776 and we will direct your call.

Funds raised during CHEO’s RBC Race for the Kids go towards CHEO’s biggest capital campaign in its history: a massive redevelopment plan that will, in its first phase, include the construction of an Integrated Treatment Centre. This facility, which will merge 10 care locations from across the region into one address, is a once-in-a-generation investment to improve health services for children and youth living with complex medical, developmental, behavioural, or mental health needs.

Tax receipts will be issued within 90 days of the event. Please note that only donations for $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt.

Yes, strollers are welcome on the 2K Family Fun Run. CHEO’s RBC Race for the Kids is held on an accessible route on packed gravel paths. There will also be nursing and changing stations available onsite.

Yes. But we ask that you please keep your dog on a leash, stay at the back of the pack, and remember to stoop and scoop up after your pet.

The bag check tent is located just past the entrance to the event site. This is a free service provided to all participants.

The event is located at Wesley Clover Parks located at 401 Corkstown Road. Onsite parking is free.

  • 10K – 8:30 a.m. (this is a timed event)
  • 5K – 9:30 a.m. (this is a timed event)
  • 2K – 9:50 a.m. (this is not a timed event–strollers and dogs welcome).

It will take place rain or shine. If the forecast suggests inclement weather, don’t forget to pack your rain jacket! Please check our event page for updates.

In the unlikely event that CHEO’s RBC Race for the Kids Ottawa is cancelled due to extreme weather conditions, all participants who paid their registration fee will be issued a tax receipt for the amount paid. No refund will be issued. Registration fees are converted to a donation. Participants will still receive all earned fundraising prizes.

Yes, if you chose to participate as a fundraiser when you registered, your registration fee will be waived once you have raised the required amount. The required fundraising amount is $90 for adults and $25 for youth 13 and under. Should you be unable to raise the fundraising minimum, you will pay the difference to reach the fundraising minimum or pay the full fee of $65 for adults and $25 for youth. If you chose to pay the registration fee upon registering, there is no waiving of the fee or issuing of a tax receipt.

Your signed registration/pledge form, photo identification, and any cheque or cash pledges you have collected. Remember: if you are under 18, your parent or guardian needs to sign your registration/pledge form.

Avoid lineups by checking in to pick up your gear before event day. You can win a prize!

Yes, each participant must register separately. Since this is a fundraiser, we encourage all family members to register and collect pledges together to help us transform pediatric healthcare at CHEO.

Registration fees for adults are as follows:

  • Before July 24: $55
  • July 24 to October 5: $65
  • Adults may choose to waive the registration fee by fundraising a minimum of $90 prior to the event start.

Registration fees for youth 13 and under are as follows:

  • Before July 24: $25
  • July 24 to October 5: $25
  • Children may choose to waive the registration fee by fundraising a minimum of $25 prior to the event start.

Important Note: Paid registration fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a donation

Yes! The 2K Family Fun Run is open to parents running with strollers, and younger kids.
